What is the workshop about?
In this all-day workshop, we’ll explore basic concepts behind designing educational and training activities. You will have hands-on experience in designing and developing games, activities, and simulations, including board games and online games. At the end of the workshop, you will have an opportunity to design your own game. Each participant will receive a hefty manual with ready-to-use games, design templates and job aids.
You will learn:
- Twenty reasons for using training games and simulations
- When to use games and when not to use games
- How to apply powerful principles of faster, cheaper, better instructional design
In addition, you will:
- Design and use six different types of training games
- Design and use six types of simulations games
