The Art of Memory

Presented by Raymond Sullivan

The art of memory was an essential learning skill before the invention of the printing press. Today our capacity to remember seems in danger of complete erosion due to our focus on the future, daily distractions, multitasking, and the use of external devices such as smart phones and tablets. Why remember anything at all when we can simply look it up on Wikipedia? However, the ability to remember is crucial to our personal and professional success. Our memories define who we are. Most of us possess excellent memories but we often believe otherwise because we never learned the art of memory. This interactive presentation, which includes simple exercises, will introduce you to the lost art of memory.
